COLUMBIA, S.C. --- To open a three-match home stand, the Allen University volleyball team hosted Fort Valley State Friday evening. The Yellow Jackets (4-6) fell in four sets (23-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-27). 
The Yellow Jackets were led by senior middle blocker Taylor Lawrence with 12 kills, making her first time this season reaching double-figures. Following Lawrence atop the kills leaders for Allen was Maliyah Spencer (8) and Tahmiah Lawson (6). Zyara Harrison tallied 18 assists, her fourth-most in a match this season, in Friday's effort along with Jayda Woodson who totaled 12. Among the 86 digs that Allen registered as a team, Myra Lopez led the Yellow Jackets with 24 followed by Jaida Jones with 16 and both Dazzalon Larkins and Harrison each with 13 of their own.
Allen will face a quick turn around as they host Albany State tomorrow, October 5. First serve is set for noon inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
