RALEIGH, N.C. --- For the first time this season the Allen University women's soccer team scored a pair of goals in a match but it was not enough as the Yellow Jackets were defeated at Shaw Thursday, 5-2.
Sophomore forward
Tatyana Machado found the back of the net for the third time this season, and in her second-straight match, in the 51st minute.
Gabriell Murphy assisted the score. Later in the second half, freshman
Tahlia Brooks scored her first career in the 71st minute. In goal for the Yellow Jackets,
Rachel Rolle made six saves against the Bears.
The Yellow Jackets return home to host Newberry College Friday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. at SE Freight Lines Soccer Complex.
