COLUMBIA, SC --- Despite redshirt freshman
Jordan Edmond scoring a career-best 25 points, Allen fell on the road Saturday at Benedict, 81-62.
After trailing 44-20 at the half, the Yellow Jackets stormed out in the second half as Allen scored twice as much in the second half as they did the first, outscoring the Tigers 42-37 over the final 20 minutes. However, struggles from the perimeter plagued the Yellow Jackets in the loss as Allen finished shooting (1-13) from three-point range.
For the second time in the new year, Edmond marked a new career-best performance on (10-14) shooting while adding nine rebounds. In addition to Edmond,
G'Shan Aldridge joined Edmond in double-figures with 12 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes of action.
Allen turns towards a trip back home Monday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. as the Yellow Jackets welcome Savannah State to John Hurst Adams Gymnasium. Tickets are available at www.auyellowjackets.com.
