COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University women's soccer team put out a great defensive effort holding a quality Bob Jones University (S.C.) team to just 3 goals, but could not find the back of the net in falling 3-0 from the SC United Complex on Saturday. 

The Lady Bruins got on the board early scoring in the third minute of action before adding their second goal of the half in the 17th minute. However, Allen would then step up their defense and hold BJU scoreless for the next 60 minutes while AU got off five shots in the first half as they entered the half down just 8-5 in shots. 

AU came on strong int he second half dominating possession for the first 20 minutes and putting a total of six shots on goal in the second half, but could not find the net. The shot count was only 7-6 in the half as BJU finished the game leading just 15-11 in shots. BJU added their final goal of the game in the 77th minute scoring past a leaping Jaden Keys in goal. 
Keys finished making 8 saves on 11 shots on goal while senior forward Acacia Small attempted 4 shots to lead Allen.


BJU remains unbeaten improving to 3-0-3 while AU falls to 1-4 on the season. The Yellow Jackets will next be in action on Tuesday when they head up the road to Hartsville to battle Coker College (3-1) at 4:00 PM.
