ATLANTA, Ga. (February 7, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men's and women's basketball Players of the Week.
For women,
Tederia Ashley of Miles College (Ala.) was named
Player of the Week, while Allen's
Keyshuna Fair earned
Newcomer of the Week.
This is Fair's third Newcomer of the Week award this season.
Women's Basketball
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Keyshuna Fair, Allen

Keyshuna Fair led Allen to a 2-0 record last week as she scored 14 points in the upset win over Savannah State last Monday and then set a season-high of 22 points in the win over Albany State on Saturday. She totaled seven rebounds, five steals and 36 points on the week while averaging 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals. Fair also led the Yellow Jackets with 11 points this past Monday night in the loss to Fort Valley.
She is currently averaging 10.0 points/game, 3 rebounds/game and 1.2 steals/game while shooting nearly 30% from three-point range and leads the team with 35 treys on the season so far. She is fourth on the team in rebounds with 62, 2nd on the team in points with 218, and 4th in steals with 27.
She will next lead the Lady Yellow Jackets into a matchup at Rival Benedict on Saturday at 1:00 pm but the game will now be played at C.A. Johnson HS in Columbia.
