ATLANTA, Ga. (February 21, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its final men's and women's basketball Players of the Week for February 21. 
 
For the women, Laurie Thomas of Kentucky State was named Player of the Week, while junior guard Keyshuna Fair of Allen earned Newcomer of the Week for the 4th time this season. Fair previously won the award on December 6, Jan. 24 and Feb. 7.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Keyshuna Fair, Allen

Junior transfer Keyshuna Fair, of Anderson, SC,  led Allen to a 1-1 week by averaging eight points, three rebounds, and two assists while shooting 40% from three-point line (4-of-10). She also added two steals and a block and scored 11 points in the close loss to CAU on Saturday with three 3-pointers.

Fair is averaging 10.0 points/game on the year and is shooting 30 percent from three with 40 treys on the year. She is also averaging 3.0 rebounds/game, and 1.2 steals/g.

She has helped Allen to 13 wins on the season and 8 wins in the conference, the team's most since the 2018-19 season in the NAIA. Allen will next wrap up their regular season by hosting Paine College on Senior Night Wednesday at 5:30 pm before heading to the conference tournament on Saturday in Savannah.
