COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University men's wrestling knocked off SC rival Clemson University 34-9 at home Saturday afternoon in the first of their two dual matches on the day.
AU next wrestled Florida A&M at 5:30 PM and won by a 37-8 score improving to 5-2 on the season with their 5th straight win.

Leading Allen in the win over Clemson was Alex Dorce and James Dagin as they each won by fall in their bouts at 157 and 174 lbs respectively while Christian Poplous and Ya'Donnis Hardaway each won by technical fall. Hardaway won 16-1 at 165 lbs and Poplous won 19-3 at 197. 
Emmanuel Velazquez and Drevon Wallace also each won by decisions. Wallace came back to win 9-4 while Velazquez held on for a 4-2 win. Reco Robinson won by forfeit at 125 lbs.

Allen then steamrolled past Florida A&M in the next dual winning by forfeit in five weight classes to lead 30-0 before Hardaway won by an 11-0 major decision at 165. Freshman heavyweight Chandler Allen then won by an 8-2 decision.
