Box Score FRANKFORT, KY - The Allen University women's basketball team battled SIAC West foe Kentucky State on the road Saturday afternoon but their second half rally fell short as they lost 78-70.
Kentucky State  got out to a fast start leading 21-6 after the first quarter. The ladies then saw themselves down 44-19 midway through the second quarter before going on a 9-0 run to get within 16 points at the half.
Allen then came out strong in the third quarter starting it on a 24-8 run to tie the game at 52 apiece with 2:30 to play in the quarter. Even though AU outscored the thoroughbred 31-16 in the third, KSU came back in the fourth outlasting the lady jackets 18-11 for the 8-point win.Â

Kash Hankerson led Allen with 19 points, 3 assists and 3 three pointers while junior forward
JuJu Harrington registered a double double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.Â
Guard
Maya Johnson added 11 points as well while
Kasey Smith scored nine points. Guard
Taliah Wesley led with 10 rebounds and scored six points.Â
the women fell to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference and will next head to Ohio on Monday for a 5:30 game at Central State.Â
