St. Petersburg, Fla. - The Allen University men's basketball team could not rally in the second half falling 65-55 on the road at Eckerd College to complete their two-game Florida road trip.

Guard G'Shan Aldridge led a trio of Yellow Jackets in double-digits scoring 13 points on 5 of 9 shooting with five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Also scoring in double-figures were shooting guards Malik Lacewell and Peyton Weathersby as the duo each scored 12 points apiece on 4 of 8 shooting from three-point range. Weathersby also added 5 rebounds to tie for the team lead along with an assist.

Senior forward Mohamed Alkadi also recorded five points with three rebounds while junior center Kameron Leonard added five rebounds, two points and a steal. Sophomore forward Bubba Johnson, Jr. also blocked two shots along with 2 points and 2 rebounds.

Allen shot 43 percent in the first half as they trailed 40-29 at the break before shooting just 33 percent in the second half but held Eckerd (1-1) to only nine baskets to win the period 26-25.
AU got to within four points at 40-44 with 15 minutes to play and then trailed by just five at 55-60 with 2:03 to go, but unfortunately could get no closer the rest of the way falling to 0-2.

Allen will next return to Adams Gym for their home opener next Saturday at 12 Noon to host Blue Lights College.
