ATLANTA, GA - The SIAC has announced its 2023 All-Conference Superlative Awards and Allen's own QB
David Wright was honored with the Conference Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year Award for the Yellow Jackets. It is the first honor for Allen football since reinstated the program in 2018.

Teddy Keaton, in his 5th season, helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a 7-3 record this season, their most wins since the Div. II transition. Allen defeated 6th place Edward Waters by 40 points this season where Wright threw four TD passes while AU also defeated conference runner-up Albany State by double digits.

David Wright led the SIAC in passing yards this season, throwing for 3,171 yards and was second in total touchdowns with 23, 19 passing and 4 rushing, while averaging 335 yards per game and completing 58% of his passes. He also rushed for four more scores and 235 yards on the ground, helping Allen to their best season in modern history with a 7-3 record. Wright also passed for over 300 yards in 7 of 9 games this season with a season-high of 411 yards and 5 pass TDs in the comeback win over Kentucky st.
Wright was also named Player of the Week once this season as well.
