BLUEFIELD, WV- The Allen University women;s soccer team fell 7-1 on the road at Bluefield St. on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman forward Tatyana Machado scored the lone goal for the yellow jackets scoring in the 37th minute to get AU to within at 2-1 midway through the first half after Bluefield had scored two early goals. It was Machado's third goal of the season.

Bluefield then added their third goal late in the half to take a 3-1 lead into the break while leading the shot count 12-5. Unfortunately, the Big Blue scored just a minute into the second alf to grab.a 4-1 lead. Then, five minutes later, BSU scored their fifth goal to take a commanding lead before adding a 6h in the 60th minute. 

Machado led with 3 shots overall and two on goal while sophomore goalkeeper Jaden Keys made 6 saves on 13 shots on goal.


Allen falls to 1-9 on the season while Bluefield St improves to 3-7. AU will next return to action on Thursday when they come home to host NAIA foe Trinity Baptist at 3 pm.
