ETTRICK, Va. - The Allen University women's soccer grabbed their 4th win of the season on Sunday afternoon scoring two goals in the second half to break a 2-2 tie and go on for the 4-2 win on the road at Virginia State.
Allen improves to 4-10-1 on the season while dropping VSU to 2-9-2.

Tatyana Machado led Allen with two goals on the afternoon while fellow freshman midfielder Alexia Valasquez and junior midfielder
Tonie Sledz also scored for the Jackets.
Allen got on the board first when Machado scored her 7th goal of the season in the 2nd minute on a penalty kick. However, VSU came right back with a goal just 30 seconds later at the 2:00 minute. mark to tie teh game at one. Then in the 31st minute of action, AU regained the lead when Valasquez punched it in from a few yards out for her third goal of the season. VSU then struck right back in the 36th minute with a penalty kick goal of their own to tei the game at 2 heading into the break with a 13-5 shot advantage.
In the beginning of the second half, the Ladies got their lead right back as Machado scored her second goal of the game and 8th overall knocking it in at the 53rd minute mark.Finally, AU got their insurance goal scoring in the 76th minute as Sledz punched it in off an assist from Valasquez. Allen outshot the Lady Trojans 12-3 in the second half as they dominated the period to win the final shot count 17-16.
Freshman goalkeeper
Rianda Pimienta Solano made 8 saves on 10 shots on goal for the win, her 4th of the season.
Allen will next go on the road Thursday to face NAIA foe Toccoa Falls in Georgia looking for their 5th win of the season.
