BLUEFIELD, WV - The Allen University wrestling team pushed their win streak to seven on Monday as they romped past Bluefield St. 36-15 on the road on MLK Day.
Allen won 7 of the 10 matches on the afternoon in rolling to their seventh straight win and ninth out of their last ten duals to  improve to 12-3 on the season, continuing the best season in Allen University history.
The dual began at 165 lbs with sophomoreÂ
Ya'Donnis Hardaway cruising to a first period fall while the junior duo of
Terrence Mills and
Michael Jackson then both won by forfeit at 174 and 184 lbs respectively. After a 10-5 loss by
Christian Poplous at 197, freshman HWT
Timyris Lippett then also wn by forfeit to increase the Yellow Jacket lead to 24-3 at the halfway point.
Junior
Reco Robinson then got the Jackets back in the win column with a solid overtime win, 7-5 at 125 lbs while fellow juniorÂ
Nyshaad Hannon then put Allen up 33-3 with a quick first period fall at 133 lbs. Freshman
Quincy Gash and junior
Drevon Wallace both suffered tough losses by fall at 141 and 149 lbs with Wallace trying to throw his opponent before getting caught and pinned in the second period.
Junior
Moise Toussaint then finished off the win with a 9-5 decision victory at 157 lbs.
Allen will now have a week off before returning to action next Wednesday with a tri-meet at NAIA Truett-McConnell beginning at 4:00 pm.
