SUMTER, S.C. - The Allen University women's volleyball team rolled to a record-setting 3-0 rout over NAIA foe Morris College on the road Friday evening. 

The Yellow Jackets stomped to a 25-8 set one win behind 8 kills hitting .636. However, then in the second set, junior setter Kayla Chambliss began the set serving and never relinquished it as she served out all 25 points in the set on 18 aces en route to a dominating shutout win 25-0, a first in Allen School history. The Lady Jackets tallied six kills, zero errors, and 13 service aces in the set from Chambliss.

Allen then got off to another strong start in set three running out to an 11-0 lead. Chambliss then added five more aces in the third set as she served the majority of the set again helping Allen to the 25-4 win on five kills hitting .500.

Allen hit .680 for the match totaling 19 kills and only 2 attack errors. AU also posted a record-high 33 aces in the match on only 6 serve errors. Freshman OH Maliyah Spencer led the team with 6 kills hitting .857 while freshman opposite hitter Lillian Williams and junior hitter Aleyah Maddox combined for 5 kills. Freshman DS Jyla Clayton also had 6 assists and 8 aces on the night.

Allen improves to 2-1 with the win and will next host conference foe Clark-Atlanta (Ga.) on Saturday at 1:00 PM from Adams Gymnasium.
