COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University Volleyball team used a strong attack and steady defense to power past SIAC foe Clark Atlanta University 3-1 from Adams Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Allen rallied to outlast CAU 28-26 in the first set before the Panthers took the second 25-19. Allen Then cruised to a big 18-8 lead in set three before winning 25-17. The Yellow Jackets then clinched the match in the fourth set with a 25-19 win winning 8 of the last 12 points.
Junior Setter
Kayla Chambliss led the way with 12 kills and 23 assists recording a double-double, her first of the season while hitting at a .310 clip for the team high. She also tallied 8 digs.

Maciejewska then combined for 22 kills and only 8 errors with each tallying 11 kills apiece while Leaks also added 3 blocks and 3 digs.
Junior Middle blocker
Marlaysia Westbrook also played well registering 6 kills and 7 total blocks while freshman OHÂ
Maliyah Spencer also added 6 kills and 2 blocks. Freshman MH
Jani Smith also had a quality game as well posting 5 kills and 8 total blocks while freshman libero
Jayla Neely led the team with 20 digs and 4 service aces.
Allen improves to 3-1 overall with the win and 1-0 in conference while dropping CAU to 2-7.
AU will return to action on Sunday afternoon with a non-conference game at Livingstone College.
