ATLANTA - 63 Allen student-athletes were tabbed to the 2021-22 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Commissioner's All-Academic Team for maintaining at least a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average throughout the 2021-22 academic year.

In addition, three student-athletes garnered All-Academic team honors for earning a 3.2 or higher grade point average during the 2021-22 academic year. The number of student-athletes selected to the All-Academic team in each sport was determined by the number of positions usually involved in that sport.

For Allen, Marlaysia Westbrook was tabbed to the All-Academic team for volleyball and women's basketball, while Ruth Davis and Rayshawn Meiser were named to the women's track & field team and the men's track & field team, respectively.

Across the SIAC, a record high 1,474 student-athletes were named to the 2021-22 SIAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team, while 51 students from 13 institutions recorded a 4.0 grade point average.
