COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen women's basketball team narrowly fell to Fort Valley State, 59-61, Monday night at Adams Gymnasium.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Cardrina Nolen who registered 15 points and nine rebounds. Jazeem Bethea also contributed significantly as she tallied 13 points and five rebounds.
Aniya Keeling tallied 10 points, joining Nolen and Bethea as the three Yellow Jackets to score in double figures.Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Allen faced an 11 point deficit in the fourth quarter before tying the game with under a minute remaining.
- Allen trailed by three before Keeling completed an and one to tie the game with less than a minute to play.
- As a team, Allen held Fort Valley State to 4-16 from three and 24-64 from the field.
- The Yellow Jackets were out-rebounded 39-50 for the game.
- Allen shot 15-23 from the free throw line.
- The Yellow Jackets displayed a balanced offensive attack as four players logged double-digit field goal attempts.
