FAIRFIELD, Ala. - The Allen University men's basketball team fell by ten points on the road at SIAC West foe Miles College 61-51 in Alabama on Saturday afternoon.
Allen got off to a good start leading 17-10 with just 8 minutes left in the first half. Miles then went on a 12-0 run to take back the lead and the Bears then finished the half on a 22-6 run to lead 32-23 at the intermission. Allen would climb to within 8 points multiple times in the second half even getting within 7 points, but could get no closer shooting 37 percent for the game. Miles shot 45 percent for the game but struggled from three while Allen was a quality 8 of 19 from behind the arc (42%).
Allen was led by 13 points on 6 of 9 shooting and a three-pointer from point guard
Anthony Baker Jr. while freshman forward
Nakia Johnson led the way in rebounds with eight while also grabbing two steals.
Senior guard
Darius Williams then led the Jackets in assists with three while scoring 9 points and grabbing four rebounds while senior forward
Reggie Reynolds also scored 8 points with 2 assists. Freshman Guards

Peyton Weathersby and sophomore forward Jalen Green combined for 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in the defeat as well.
Allen Falls to 1-8 on the year and 1-4 in the conference while Miles improves to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the SIAC.
The Jackets will stay on the road to battle Div. I foe Presbyterian College on Monday evening at 7 PM in Clinton, SC.
