COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University women's soccer team battled hard against a D-1 foe, but would end up succumbing to the deeper SC State Bulldogs 6-0 at home on Thursday from the SC United FC Soccer Complex.

Freshman goalkeeper Jaden Keys was the standout player again for the Yellow Jackets as she made 10 saves on 12 shots in the first half and then made 7 more saves in the second half to set her season-high with 17 saves in the game on 23 shots on goal.

SC State scored just two goals in the first half as AU shut them down for the final 30 minutes of play in the half. SCSU was then kept off the board until the 69th minute when they went on to score 3 goals in a 9-minute span to put the game away. 

Allen was led in shots by two from midfielder Mia Hughey and one each from forward Shakeryah Passmore, Breitlyn Saunders, and Aaliyah McKeithan.

Allen falls to 0-14 on the season while SCSU improves to 2-17. Allen will remain home to host Bluefield St. on Saturday at 3:00 pm as they start to wind down their season.
