Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Falls at Columbia College & USC-Aiken

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University women's soccer team fell 5-0 on the road at Columbia College on Wednesday evening.

The Koalas scored their first two goals within a three-minute span midway through the first half before adding two more goals to the board late in the first half.

Allen's defense and goalkeeping led by freshman Jaden Keys then regrouped and stepped up their play allowing only one CC goal over the final 55 minutes of action. Keys made 10 saves in all on 15 shots on goal allowing just the one second half goal. Through six games as the starting keeper, Keys had registered 47 total saves and a .566 save percentage.

CC out-shot the Jackets 23-1, however, limiting AU's scoring chances to just one as junior midfielder Acacia Small just missed a goal in the 3rd minute of action as the Koala goalie made the save.

Columbia improves to 6-4-2 on the season while Allen falls to 0-12.

AIKEN, S.C. - AU soccer then returned to action on Saturday when they headed down I-20 to battle fellow Div. II foe USC-Aiken. However, the Pacers were too much for the Jackets as USCA stormed out to a 10-0 lead in the first half. Aiken scored their first goal in the 5th minute before then rattling off four more goals within a three-minute span midway through the half to lead 5-0.

After another scoreless 15 minutes, Aiken struck again with two more goals by the 35:00 mark. The Lady Pacers then added the final three tallies over a 90-second span at the end of the first half. Freshman keeper Jaden Keys made double-digit saves again saving 11 shots on 21 shots on goal over 75 minutes of action.

Allen falls to 0-13 on the season while USCA improves to 7-3-4. Allen has now completed the road portion of their schedule as their three final games will be at home from the Southeastern Freight Soccer Complex.

AU will next host D-1 SC State on Thursday at 4:00 before hosting Senior Day on Saturday at 3:00 against Bluefield.
