COLUMBIA, S.C. - Jazeem Bethea led all scorers with 25 points, but the Allen women's basketball team fell to Savannah State 81-92 Monday night at Adams Gymnasium.

With the loss, Allen falls to 4-10 while Savannah State improves to 15-1 on the year.

Bethea registered 16 of her 25 points in the second half to lead the Yellow Jackets. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Savannah State held a 29-23 advantage after the first frame.
• Jayda Jackson led all scorers at the half with 12 points, while shooting 2-2 from three and 4-4 from the field. 
• Allen shot 60% from three in the first half and 83.3% from the free throw line as a team. The Yellow Jackets out-rebounded the Tigers 23-16 in the first half. 
• Allen only trailed by eight at the half despite committing 14 turnovers, compared to seven for Savannah State. 
• Savannah State extended its lead to 16 during the third quarter, but Allen immediately cut the lead to eight.
• Allen continuously fought to keep the contest close in the fourth quarter, but Savannah State refused to relinquish the lead.
• The Yellow Jackets eventually fell, 81-92.
