COLUMBIA, S.C. - Allen women's basketball will hit the court for the first time since Dec. 18 when it hosts Lane College Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., inside Adams Gymnasium.
Allen and Lane will square off for the second time this season as the two teams played on Dec. 1 in Jackson, Tenn.
YELLOW JACKET QUICK HITS
- Allen ranks sixth in the SIAC defensively, allowing 59.3 points per game.
- The Yellow Jackets have been consistent on the boards, out-rebounding their opponents by nearly four rebounds per game.
- Aniya Keeling currently ranks sixth in the SIAC in minutes per game (33.6).
- Allen has displayed a balanced offensive attack as 11 players average over four points per game.
- Brooke Kyle has stood out defensively as she's totaled 14 steals and five blocks on the year.
LAST TIME OUT
- Allen fell to Central State, 59-73, in its last contest.
- Prior to falling to Central State on Dec. 18, the Yellow Jackets defeated Kentucky State, 57-53, on Dec. 16.
- Against Kentucky State, Cardrina Nolen led all scorers with 27 points while shooting 8-11 from the field. Noel added 10 rebounds to notch her first double-double of the season.
SCOUTING THE DRAGONS
- Lane enters Tuesday's contest with a 7-5 record, including a 3-2 mark in conference play.
- The Dragons are led by Kayla Simmons who averages 13.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
- Lane defeated Allen, 69-47, when the two teams squared off on Dec. 1.
