JonTay Mitchem enters her first season as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Allen University, where serves also serves as the Budget Manager for the Athletic Department.

Previously, JonTay held the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Columbia College, an NAIA institution, from 2021 to 2023. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in leading the team to its first-ever playoff appearance, a historic achievement for the program. She also mentored two All-Conference players and one All-Conference freshman, showcasing her dedication to developing talent.

JonTay was the Head Junior Varsity Coach at her alma mater, Ridge View High School, where she guided the team to a successful winning season in 2020-2021. Her contributions to the program were recognized when she was inducted into the Ridge View Hall of Fame in the class of 2023.
