Anthony Thompson is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Allen Men's Basketball program.
Thompson, an Orangeburg, SC native, has spent the last four years as an assistant coach and media director at two Columbia area high schools. From 2019-2022, Thompson coached at A.C. Flora High School, and most recently in 2023 as as assistant coach at nationally-ranked Ridge View High School. In addition to his assistant duties at Ridge View, Thompson served as head B-Team coach for the Blazers.
Outside of the prep ranks, Thompson has coached in the AAU circuit for nearly a decade. Over the last eight years, Thompson has coached with the SC Future, Upward Stars, and Carolina Rebels programs. He also served as the media director for the SC76ers, an AAU organization.
