L.C. Cole is in his second season as the assistant head coach, defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator of the Allen University football program.
Cole, an Alabama native, is a 1979 Nebraska Alum and an All-American DE at Nebraska.
He is a 2x Ohio Valley Conf. champion at Tennessee State University (back to back titles in 1998-99) and a 2x AFCA Coach of the Year in 1998-99. Cole spent four seasons as head coach at TSU from 1996 until 1999. His career coaching record at Tennessee State was 28–18.
Cole served as an assistant positions coach at seven different Div. I universities from 1984-1995 including Ball State, K-State, Wisconsin, Toledo, Morgan St., Eastern Mich., and Cincinnati.
Cole has also served as the head coach at Alabama State from 2000-2002 and Stillman College in 2009-10 and has won 55 games as a head collegiate coach.
He has also been a high school football coach at six different schools over the past 10 years.
Cole has a wife, Mitzi Ann Parker, and a son, Clay.
