MACON, Ga. – Allen University Football officially kicked off its 2026 campaign with a standout presence at the 2026 SIAC Football Media Day, held Wednesday, July 22, at the Tubman African American Museum in Macon, Georgia. Head Coach Cedric Pearl, along with student-athletes Chance Bush (OL), Michael Bowman (TE), and Zyrus Craft (OL), represented the Yellow Jackets, projecting confidence, unity, and readiness for the upcoming season.
The annual event, presented by Georgia Power, brought together coaches, student-athletes, and administrators from 12 SIAC football programs, as well as more than 40 media members, to preview the 2026 season. The day featured in-depth panel discussions moderated by Marvin L. James II, a 26-year veteran sports reporter and current director of media relations for the Georgia High School Association.
Allen's delegation emphasized the program's continued growth, strong team culture, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. Coach Pearl highlighted the team's focus, preparation, and belief in the process as the Yellow Jackets aim to build on recent momentum and compete at the highest level of the conference.
"2026 SIAC Media Day in the books. The vision is clear, the focus is locked, and the Yellow Jackets are ready to sting," the program shared following the event, reflecting its confident and unified mindset heading into the season.
The Yellow Jackets also participated in the SIAC Community Service and Outreach Day on Tuesday, July 21, reinforcing Allen University's commitment to leadership, service, and positive impact in the broader community.
As one of 15 member institutions across a seven-state footprint, Allen University continues to represent the SIAC's mission of developing student-athletes who excel academically, athletically, and personally. With training camp underway and the season opener approaching, the program is poised to carry its media day momentum onto the field.
