COLUMBIA, SC — The Allen University women's basketball team continued their red-hot streak on Wednesday afternoon, dismantling Central State University 77–57 inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium. With the win, the Lady Yellow Jackets extended their winning streak to four games and claimed sole possession of third place in the SIAC East Division, improving to 12-6 overall and 11-5 in conference play.
Despite a quick turnaround and limited rest following Thursday's win, Allen showed no signs of slowing down.
Team Performance: Locking In on Both Ends
The Lady Yellow Jackets used an explosive start and a suffocating defensive effort to set the tone early, jumping out to a 24–11 first quarter lead. Though the pace slowed in the second, Allen responded with a dominant second-half performance, outscoring the Marauders 46–28 over the final two quarters.
Allen finished the game shooting 44.1% from the field (26-of-59) and dominated in several key statistical categories:
