Allen Outguns Clark Atlanta 49-38 in Statement SIAC Victory

Duncan breaks two more records, Dismukes airs it out, and the Yellow Jackets move to 2-0 in conference play

Game Recap: Football | 9/20/2025 | By Phil Jackson, Allen University Sports Information Director

Columbia, SC — On a Saturday night where offense stole the show and toughness defined the tone, Allen University delivered its loudest statement of the season yet — a high-powered 49-38 win over a respected Clark Atlanta program that confirms what many around the SIAC are starting to realize: the Yellow Jackets are for real.

Now sitting at 2-0 in SIAC play, Allen not only picked up back-to-back conference wins — they did it in record-breaking fashion.

Duncan vs. the Record Book (Again)

Sophomore running back Fabian Duncan is no longer just chasing history — he's rewriting it. After setting school records for carries (26) and rushing yards (198) just two weeks ago, Duncan broke his own records Saturday night with an earth-shaking performance:

  • 46 carries (new school record)
  • 241 rushing yards (new school record)
  • 3 touchdowns

Duncan's physical, unrelenting style punished Clark Atlanta defenders from the opening whistle to the final drive, and with every stiff-arm and broken tackle, the crowd at Fairfield Central High School rose to its feet. The sophomore workhorse is now averaging over 180 rushing yard making his case as one of the top backs in all of Division II football.

Dismukes + Parker = Air Show

While Duncan dominated the ground, Junior quarterback Jamir Dismukes lit up the skies.

Dismukes completed 10 of 15 passes for 237 yards, including 3 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown, showing full command of the offense and poise in key moments.

But perhaps the night's biggest revelation was sophomore wide receiver Calvin Parker, who introduced himself to the SIAC in spectacular fashion:

  • 5 receptions
  • 124 yards
  • 1 touchdown

Parker's breakout performance adds yet another weapon to an already explosive offense, one that is clearly hitting its stride as conference play heats up.

A Versatile, Violent Defense

Despite the scoreboard, Allen's defense made their presence known in key moments.

  • DeJuan Hughes and Miguel Mason led with 11 total tackles each, both flying around the field with relentless energy.
  • Amarie Fleming wreaked havoc in the backfield, tallying 7 tackles and a jaw-dropping 3.5 sacks — a performance that left offensive linemen spinning.
  • Jhyheem Pittman added 8 tackles and delivered several momentum-shifting hits that set the tone physically.

The defense bent but never broke, with timely stops and pressure-packed plays that secured the win.

After the game, Head Coach Cedric Pearl praised the trenches and the maturity of his squad.

"I'm so proud of how these young men played — especially the O-line and D-line," Pearl said. "They came with a mindset to dominate, and that's exactly what they did. To beat a good program like Clark Atlanta shows we're moving in the right direction. Last year, we might not have pulled this off. But this team is learning how to win."

Pearl's "Pearl Vision" mantra — a blend of discipline, execution, and culture — continues to resonate through all three phases of the game.

What's Next?

Allen hits the road next weekend for a pivotal conference matchup against Albany State University — a traditionally dominant program that will test everything the Yellow Jackets have built so far.

But one thing's for certain: Allen is no longer flying under the radar.

They're charging full-speed ahead — behind record-breakers, rising stars, and a program that is starting to believe.
