Columbia, SC - While headlines across the conference keep singing the praises of quarterback Jamir Dismukes and running back Fabian Duncan — and rightfully so — the two offensive stars know exactly where the real credit belongs: the trenches.
Meet "Da Vision" — Allen University's tight-knit, hard-hitting offensive line unit that's quietly building one of the most respected reputations in the SIAC.
Behind every accolade for Dismukes, who continues stacking national honors, and every rushing lane for Duncan, who shattered a school record with 26 carries for 198 yards last Saturday, stands a group of unsung heroes committed to protecting, pushing, and paving the way.
"They don't get the headlines, but they are the reason we're in the headlines," said Dismukes, smiling after practice this week.
A Brotherhood Built in the Trenches
The unit is more than just X's and O's — it's a brotherhood.
- Jamar Winn and Zyrus Craft, first cousins from Mississippi and transfers from Alcorn State, anchor the line with toughness and chemistry built from blood and battles.
- Jiawan Sanders, a Columbia native, brings hometown pride and edge to the front.
- Ashton Morris and Chance Bush add versatility and grit to the guard and tackle positions.
- And at tight end, Michael Bowman and Ashton Horton provide blocking muscle and playmaking versatility — both repping their home state of South Carolina with pride.
On the field, they're a cohesive wall. Off the field? A brotherhood that bonds over wings, laughter, and loyalty.
"You'll find us at B-Dubs [Buffalo Wild Wings] after games," said Craft. "If Duncan keeps going crazy and Dismukes keeps winning awards, we might start getting those wings for free."
Film Room Nightmares for Defenses
It's not just camaraderie that defines this group — it's performance.
Defensive coordinators are spending late nights trying to figure out how to counter a line that's quickly becoming known for its physicality, adaptability, and vision — hence the name "Da Vision."
"We move as one. We communicate like one mind," said Sanders. "You can't build that in a week. We've been through fire together."
The Vision Ahead
As Allen looks to bounce back from a tough loss to Livingstone and build on what's shaping up to be a promising season, one thing remains clear — the foundation is set.
Dismukes has the arm. Duncan has the legs. But Da Vision? They have the will — and it's that will that's quietly becoming Allen's greatest strength. See this offensive line perform tonight as Allen begin conference play facing off against Lane College at Fairfield Central High School - kick off 6PM.
