Yellow Jackets Drop First SIAC Series at Fort Valley State

FORT VALLEY, G.A. --- The Allen University softball team fell to Fort Valley State in their first SIAC series of the 2025 season. In a doubleheader Monday, Allen lost game one, 8-0 in five innings, and game two, 11-0 in five innings. In the series finale Tuesday, Allen fell 12-0 in five innings. 

GAMES ONE AND TWO: 
In the first game of the doubleheader, Allen connected on their only in the fourth inning as Destiny Breton singled through the left side. Breton then moved into scoring position by stealing second base. In the circle, Alaina Harvey struck out a pair of Wildcats in her 4.2 innings of action. 

Later in game two, Tania Shoulders and Jada Sanders each drew a walk to reach base. 

GAME THREE: 
In the third game at FVSU, Breton recorded her second hit of the series with a single to left field in the fourth inning. Later in the fifth, Sanders singled through the left side. Sanders also drew a walk for the second straight game. 

UP NEXT: 
Allen will travel to Hoover, Alabama for the SIAC Crossover, a six-game event held over three days. On Tuesday, March 11, Allen will face Kentucky State and LeMoyne-Owen. Then on Wednesday, March 12, the Yellow Jackets will battle against Miles and Lane. To conclude the event, Allen will take on Spring Hill and Tuskegee on Thursday, March 13.
