ATLANTA, G.A. --- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced Tuesday that for the fourth time this season, Allen women's basketball senior guard Taliah Wesley has been named SIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

In Allen's two games last week, Wesley averaged 18.5 points per game. As the Yellow Jackets defeated Savannah State on February 4, 75-59, Wesley recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with three assists and four steals. Then against Edward Waters on February 8, Wesley led the team with a 17-point performance. Through Allen's 20 games this season, Wesley has scored double figures in 17 of them, including all 13 SIAC contests.

The senior guard is averaging a conference-leading 17.5 points per game to help lead Allen's offense that sits atop the SIAC with 71.4 points per game. Wesley also ranks fifth in the league by averaging 7.8 rebounds per contest.

Wesley, a Blakely, Georgia native, also ranks third in the SIAC with 2.5 steals per game.

"Taliah is making sure her final year of college basketball is one that will be remembered for seasons to come," said Allen head women's basketball coach Olivia Gaines. "Her leadership is unmatched, her ability on the floor is fantastic, and her dedication to our program is unwavering. Every coach wishes they could have a player like Taliah on their team every year."

Allen will be back in action on Saturday, February 15 at Fort Valley State. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. inside HRC Arena.
