Columbia, SC - The Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets came up just shy in a hard-fought 81–79 loss to Albany State on Tuesday night inside Adams Gymnasium. Despite a late surge, the Yellow Jackets couldn't complete the comeback, falling to 5–4 overall and 4–3 in SIAC play.
Junior forward Peighton Jambor delivered a standout performance, leading all scorers with 28 points and hauling in 13 rebounds, both game highs. Guard Eboni Clay added 19 points, while Kassadi King provided a strong lift off the bench with 9 points and 8 boards.
Allen out-rebounded the Rams 42–40, but was edged at the free-throw line (14-of-22 compared to Albany's 17-of-20) and committed 20 turnovers, proving costly down the stretch.
The Lady Yellow Jackets will look to bounce back quickly as they return to action tonight at 6:00 PM against Lander University.
