COLUMBIA, S.C. --- Despite their efforts towards a second half comeback, the Allen University men's basketball team fell to Albany State Friday, 76-63.
Through the first half, Albany State built a lead that once reached 21 points, however the Yellow Jackets did not waver as they went into the locker rooms trailing, 42-25. At the break,
Marc Raye Jr. led the Yellow Jackets with six points, followed by
Peyton Weathersby with five. Then, beginning at the 10 minute mark in the second half, the Yellow Jackets saw

Jeremiah Francis,
Demetri Patterson, and Weathersby all sink shots over the next five minutes of action to draw within six points of Albany State's lead, 65-59. Yet, the Golden Rams held strong to their lead and went on to close out the game victorious.
Weathersby closed out the night as Allen's top scorer with 16 points to pair with eight rebounds. Joining him in double-figures was Raye with 11 points and three assists, and
Ethan Hill with 10 points on four-for-eight shooting.
Allen will be back in action on Monday, January 20 as they host Fort Valley State. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
