COLUMBIA, S.C. --- Allen women's basketball saw their season come to a close Tuesday as they fell to Tuskegee in the SIAC Tournament, 68-53.
Â
Despite Tuskegee jumping out to an 8-2 lead through the first four minutes of the game, Allen responded with a layup from
Zion Duncan and a three-pointer from
Talayah Boxley to cut the deficit to one with 4:09 to go in the first quarter. Tuskegee never relinquished their lead in the second quarter, but the Yellow Jackets would climb within five points on multiple occasions, yet the Golden Tigers extended their lead to nine, 33-24, at half.Â
Â
Allen bounced-back in the third quarter with a strong performance, outscoring Tuskegee 19-16. In the third, the Yellow Jackets defensively held the Golden Tigers to just a single make beyond the arc on five attempts. However, Allen was unable to complete their comeback effort in the second round of the single-elimination SIAC Tournament.Â

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior
Kash Hankerson, who posted a team-best 16 points.
Talayah Boxley joined Hankerson in double-figures with 12 points to pair with five rebounds. Both
