ATLANTA, GA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced Football Players of the Week for Week 3 on Tuesday, September 19. Allen's sophomore QB David Wright was named Offensive Player of the Week, Allen's freshman WR/KR Kenny Wilson, was named as Newcomer of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – David Wright, Allen University

Quarterback David Wright showcased his extraordinary leadership skills as he orchestrated a remarkable comeback victory for Allen, defeating KSU 34-30 this past Saturday night. Wright's stellar performance saw him deliver five touchdown passes, including four in a thrilling fourth-quarter rally. Throughout the game, he displayed composure and precision, amassing a total of 411 passing yards to cement Allen's undefeated status and secure a resounding victory. Wright's outstanding performance not only electrified the crowd, but also solidified his status as a driving force behind Allen's continued success.

Wright has now thrown for 945 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season while completing 59% of his passes and averaging 315 yards/game.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Kenny Wilson, Allen University

Freshman wide receiver Kenny Wilson played a pivotal role in Allen's remarkable 34-30 comeback victory, showcasing his speed by hauling in 5 passes for an impressive 111 yards on 22.2 yards per catch to help lead AU to the big victory improving to 3-0. Wilson now has 9 receptions for 151 yards on the season.

The duo will next look to lead #9 Allen to their 4th win when they travel north to Ohio to take on Central State on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
