INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The NCAA Division II Membership Committee approved advancing Allen University to year three of the reclassification process, as announced by the NCAA Thursday evening. 

Allen is transitioning from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and will look to successfully complete the reclassification process during the 2023-24 season and become a full Div. II member in 2024-25. 

"It is an honor to be a part of this outstanding opportunity for our athletic department," said Director of Athletics, Jasher Cox.  "It is rewarding to see the hard work of our staff, coaches, student-athletes, and entire campus community pay off as we hit this milestone and prepare for the next phase of our journey."

The Division II membership will total 294 colleges and universities in 2023-24. 

The Division II Management Council will review all membership decisions during its in-person meeting Monday and Tuesday in Indianapolis. Changes will take effect Sept. 1.
