BELMONT, N.C. - The Allen softball team fell to Belmont-Abbey, 22-0 and 21-0, Tuesday at Crusader Field in Belmont, N.C.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 2-20 on the year while Belmont-Abbey improves to 28-11.
GAME ONE
- Belmont-Abbey got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first inning.
- The Crusaders never looked back en route to a 22-0 victory.
- Daeshonna Beckham-Timmons and LaRhonda Johnson both logged hits for the Yellow Jackets.
GAME TWO
- Belmont-Abbey's momentum from game one carried over into game two as the Crusader jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first inning.
- Like game one, Belmont-Abbey held on to its lead and earned the run-rule victory.
- Beckham-Timmons and Morgan Moon registered hits for Allen in game two.
UP NEXT
Allen will look to bounce back Friday when it hosts SIAC foe Savannah State.
