JASPER, Ala. - On the second day of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover, the Allen softball team fell to Miles and Spring Hill at Memorial Park Softball Complex.
The Yellow Jackets showed improvement but were unable to come away with a victory on day two of the three day event.
Allen fell to Miles, 17-2, before falling to Spring Hill, 11-0, to close action for the day.
GAME ONE
- Allen got on the board first as Corionah Holloway popped up a sacrifice fly to shortstop, bringing in Shaniyah Jackson to give Allen a 1-0 lead.Â
- Miles then scored seven unanswered runs in the first and second innings before a single from Morgan Moon brought in Latavia Davis for Allen's second run of the game.
- Miles then scored 10 consecutive runs to earn the 17-2 victory.Â
- Despite falling 17-2, Allen (6) registered only two less hits than Miles (8) for the contest.
GAME TWO
- Spring Hill came out aggressive, jumping out to an 8-0 lead after the first inning.
- Spring Hill registered three runs in the second inning to take an 11-0 lead.
- Shaniya Jackson logged Allen's lone hit.

Allen will resume action Sunday when it faces Lane and Tuskegee.
