COLUMBIA, S.C. - Aniya Keeling registered 23 points and four rebounds, but the Allen women's basketball team fell to Benedict, 82-70, Tuesday night at HRC Arena.
With the loss, Allen falls to 7-17 on the year while Benedict improves to 20-7.
Keeling had arguably her best performance of the season, registering a game-high 23 points along with four rebounds and three assists.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Benedict jumped out to a 23-12 lead in the first quarter.Â
- The Tigers were led by Ayanna Bey who notched eight points in the frame.Â
- Allen bounced back with a solid performance in the second quarter as the Yellow Jackets won the frame, 17-14.Â
- In the first half, Keeling registered nine points and three rebounds. Cardrina Nolen also had a solid first half as she logged seven points.
- Benedict extended its lead to 14 during the third quarter.Â
- As a team, Allen shot an impressive 58.33% from the field in the fourth quarter.
