Ga. - The Allen University volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road at Savannah St. in SIAC action on Friday evening. The Yellow Jackets then finished their two-game road trip with a tough 3-0 loss on Saturday afternoon on the road at Clark Atlanta University.Â
SSU 3, AU 0
SSU took control in the first set against the depleted Yellow Jackets tallying 12 kills and hitting .258 while holding AU to just 5 kills. The Tigers then controlled the second set behind 10 kills while limiting AU to a negative hitting percentage en route to a 25-12 win. SSU then clinched the win with a 25-17 third set win.
AU, which was missing three starters on the night, were led by freshman OH
Maliyah Spencer's 6 kills and 11 assists from freshman setter
Jyla Clayton. Freshman libero
Jayla Neely then recorded a solid game of 16 digs and an assist. Spencer also added 7 digs, an ace, and a block.

Janae Greene also added 4 kills and 4 digs while freshman RSÂ
Olivia McKinney posted 4 kills as well.Â
Allen falls to 9-8 on the season and 4-6 in the SIAC while SSU improves to 8-8 overall and 8-4 in the SIAC.
CAU 3, AU 0
Clark edged the Jackets in the first set 25-19 before they cruised against a depleted Allen squad that was missing three starters to take the final two sets 25-14 and 25-14. CAU totaled 44 kills and hit .340 while Allen registered 20 kills and hit .048.
Allen was led by 7 kills from Greene and six kills from Spencer while the duo combined for 3 blocks. Middle hitters
Marlaysia Westbrook and freshman
Jani Smith combined for 5 kills on just one error while also combining for 3 blocks. Setter
Jyla Clayton then led with 14 assists and 8 digs along with 2 aces and a kill. Neely added 6 digs and a team-high 3 aces in the loss.
Allen is now 9-9 overall and 4-7 in the conference while Clark improves to 8-11 and 6-6 in the SIAC.
The Yellow Jackets will next return home on Tuesday at 6:00 pm to host Paine College in non-league action.
