KY - The Allen University football team fell 41-22 on the road at SIAC foe Kentucky State University Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore RB
Beau Herrington led the Yellow Jackets with 138 yards rushing and 190 total scrimmage yards with a touchdown while junior QB
Michael Reese threw for 367 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss. Reese also rushed for 31 yards as he came just two yards shy of equaling 400 total yards on the day.
Leading the receiving corps was sophomore WR
Jayden Horace with 8 catches for 121 yards while sophomore WR
Deyandre Ruffin had 6 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Allen got off to a strong start as sophomore WR
Montrell White caught a 35-yard pass from Reese  to close an 11-play 96-yard drive to end the first quarter. KSU then tied the game at 7 early in the second quarter before the Thoroughbreds reeled off three consecutive touchdowns to take a 27-7 lead after three quarters. Allen then scored their second touchdown of the game early in the fourth as Ruffin caught an 18-yard pass from Reese to complete another long drive, as this one took 5 minutes on 11 plays going 76 yards to get AU within 27-14.
After two more Kentucky St. touchdowns in the fourth put it out of reach making it 41-14, Allen would add a final score near the end of the fourth as Herrington caught a 3-yard TD pass from Reese to close out another 76-yard drive. AU added a two-point conversion as well with junior DB/WRÂ

Defensively, senior LB
Gary Bourrage led the way with 10 tackles while sophomore DE
Justin Eaton added 9 more for the Jackets. Freshman DB
Kevin Graham also made 5 tackles while logging an interception as well. DB
Dahlil Wilkins, DT
Richard Hayes and Jones all recorded tackles for loss while the trio combined for 18 tackles.
Allen falls to 0-6 on the season and 0-5 in the SIAC while KSU improves to 3-4 and 3-1 in the conference. AU will return home next weekend to host Bluefield St. at 1:00 PM on Homecoming.
