ATLANTA - The Allen men's basketball team showed a resilient effort but fell to Morehouse, 67-78, Monday evening at Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Ga.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Stanley Christian who tallied 24 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 8-10 from the field.

Anthony Baker Jr., Darius Williams and Mohamed Alkadi joined Christian as the four Yellow Jackets to score in double figures. Christian and Alkadi combined to shoot 5-6 from three.

Alkadi was the only player to notch a double-double as he tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Allen faced a 14 point deficit at the half but stormed back to pull within one during the second half. 
• Allen out-rebounded Morehouse, 38-36 for the game. 
• The Yellow Jackets shot 5-10 from three in the second half. 
• Morehouse accumulated 36 bench points, while Allen's bench logged 13 points. 
• The Maroon Tigers held a 19 point lead two minutes into the second half before Allen cut the deficit to one.
