Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is a former NFL cornerback, Tennessee State University alumnus, and community leader whose journey reflects excellence, perseverance, leadership, and service. A proud Tennessee State Tiger, he distinguished himself as a standout defensive back and one of the top defensive prospects entering the 2008 NFL Draft. He was also an All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree and represented TSU with discipline, pride, and excellence.
Rodgers-Cromartie was selected in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, beginning a successful 12-year NFL career that included time with the Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, and Washington Football Team. During his professional career, he earned two Pro Bowl selections, recorded more than 30 career interceptions, and helped lead the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII.
His connection to Tennessee State University continued beyond his playing career. In 2023, Rodgers-Cromartie completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, demonstrating his commitment to education and lifelong growth.
In 2025, he was inducted into the NFL HBCU Hall of Fame, Class of 2025, recognizing his outstanding professional accomplishments and his representation of HBCU excellence on the national stage.
