Ieisha Bodrick

Coach Ieisha Bodrick is in her fourth season as the women's cross country and track and field coach at Allen University. 
In 2019, Bodrick hit the ground running in her inaugural season, where the women's track program increased from two athletes the previous season to 14. In the same season, the women's team went on to win 2nd place in the 400 meters as well as 4th place in the 4x400 relay at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships. Her role as both the men's and women's jumps coach also led to a 2nd place championship finish in the men's high jump.
In her second season at the AAC Championships, the women's team placed 3rd in the 100-meter hurdles and 4th in the 4x100 relay. The team also produced a NAIA National Championships berth in the women's 100-meter hurdles.
Bodrick is a native of Orangeburg, S.C., where she began her 12-year cross-country and track and field career early as a Top 10 National Junior Olympic triple jump finalist in middle school. She was also a standout 4-A  state champion runner and jumper at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. As a NCAA Division I athlete, she broke the 100-meter hurdle school record at Winthrop University as a sophomore.
Prior to coming to Allen, Bodrick served as head and assistant coach for boys and girls track at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. During her tenure she mentored and trained over 60 athletes, two of which went on to finish 5th and 7th in the S.C. High School League State Championships in the 100 meters and 400 meters. She has also coached USA Track & Field Junior Olympics and AAU teams.
In regard to her coaching philosophy, Bodrick says, "As a coach, I'm interested in the growth of the whole person. I plant seeds of positivity, hope, accountability and attainment of goals and dreams. I support the aspirations of the athlete in all these ways to assist them in becoming a productive and purpose-minded citizen."
Bodrick is a Level-2 Certified USA Track and Field (USATF) Coach, a certified Association-Level USATF Official, and a certified SC High School League Track and Field Official. When she is not coaching track and cross-country runners, she is an IT Consultant and a Web/Graphic designer. She earned her M.B.A. from Charleston Southern University and a Bachelor of Science from Winthrop University.
