NEWBERRY, 
S.C. - The Allen University men's cross country team traveled to Newberry College on Saturday morning to compete in the Newberry 8K Invitational and came away with a 13th place finish out of 16 schools.
Freshman 
Zalyn Myers led the Jackets with a time of 36:39 and an 86th place finish in the 8K recording his best time on the year while sophomore 
Jabari Moss came in right behind Myers in 36:48 to place 87th, also running his season-best time.
Freshman 
Rolik Jackson and senior 
Daquan Brock then tied for 88th overall and 3rd on the team with identical personal-best times of 37:55 while sophomore 
Preston Conner finished up the scoring coming in 5th on the team in another personal-best time of 38:33.
Freshman 
John Bomar also competed and finished the 8K in 42:08. The Jackets will now prepare to run in the SIAC Championships on Friday, Nov. 4 in Macon, GA.
